These two. Since they live on the other side of the country and John was only here for the wedding (read their wedding blog here about he almost didn’t make it!!), we weren’t able to celebrate their love beforehand with an engagement session. However, when I found out that these two would be honeymooning all over Northern California including Napa Valley and North Lake Tahoe, we just knew we had to sneak in a Lake Tahoe Honeymoon Session for these two lovers!
Now, I am a total advocate for cutting off all communication from ANYONE on your honeymoon. For reals, please disconnect ALL the things. For our honeymoon, I literally turned off ALL my email accounts, deleted Facebook, Instagram, etc. apps off my phone. That way, when we did need to use our phones for GPS on the beautiful island of Maui, I wasn’t tempted to click anything. It took actually going to the internet browser, typing in Facebook.com, and logging in (on a phone) which is a lot more complicated. But, these two were okay with me interrupting their solitude to frolick around a dock on the North Shore!
Hari and John, Thank you for sharing just a sliver of your honeymoon with me! For laughing at my jokes about Murphy the bunny. For giggling on piers. And trusting me enough to walk funny for the sake of a photo. I super miss you two now that you’re back in Georgia but it sounded like we have a lot of good plans to make sure it’s not too long before reuniting!
