Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. When Kate reached out to me about a Yosemite Anniversary session, I was SO excited! I didn’t even realize they lived on the other side of our sunny California state. And I didn’t realize that they are HUGE The Office fans. That worked out great for me because I have watched Jim and Pam, Michael and Dwight, and co. way too many times to count. We laughed on the cliffs of Taft Point, celebrating exactly 1 year of marriage for these two cuties. Kate and Andrew wanted a session that felt like them. Felt cozy. Felt fun. Felt wild and free. That’s just what Yosemite provided us.
Overlooking Yosemite Valley, Kate and Andrew cuddled up, danced, and popped champagne to celebrate their first anniversary. As the sun started to set, surrounded by elopements on either side of us, these two toasted champagne flutes, kissed, and smiled for their Yosemite anniversary session photos. They even booked a two night stay in one of the tent cabins you can stay in the Valley.

Thanks for sharing the champagne and Trader Joes peanut butter cups. Thanks for carrying my blanket back to the car. Thanks for looking fierce on top of the world. And thank you for trusting me to capture your love in one of the prettiest places on the west coast. Your Yosemite Anniversary session was one for the books and I know you won’t be strangers. After all, we’re house swapping soon! Thanks friends – happy first year!
